Legal Director at Inventa, responsible for the Official Industrial Property Agents team. Combining the legal aspect with his vision for the business, cooperates daily in the definition and implementation of the best Intellectual Property (IP) strategies, to protect and enhance the profitability of all IP assets. Specialist in internationalization strategies related to intellectual property rights transfer and licensing contracts. Vitor Palmela Fidalgo was appointed by the World Trademark Review (WTR) in 2019, 2020 and 2021 as one of the best professionals to work, in Portugal, in the area of trademarks.


Studies
Graduated (2010), Master's Degree (2013) in Industrial Property Law, Postgraduate in Copyright, and Information Society (2014) and Arbitration Law (2016), and PhD Student (2018-) in Intellectual Property Law, he is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. He is also a Researcher at the Private Law Research Center (CIDP) and worked as a Guest Researcher at Max Planck Institute for Innovation and Competition (Munich). Teaches or taught the disciplines of Labour Law I and II, Civil Procedural Law III and Property Law. He also teaches or taught in several Postgraduate Courses, namely, in the Advanced Postgraduate Course in Data Protection Law, Postgraduate Specialization Course in Labour Law and Social Security, in the Advanced Postgraduate Course in Commercial Litigation, in the Post-Graduate Course in E-Commerce and in the Post-Graduate Course.

Vítor Palmela Fidalgo, both as a Lawyer and a Teacher, has participated in multiple conferences and seminars in Europe. Vítor has published several works in the field of intellectual property in Portugal, Spain, Germany, and Brazil. His work on “The Compulsory Licenses for Industrial Property Rights”, was awarded as the winner of the I Prize “Professor Doutor José de Oliveira Ascensão”.
