Joined the law firm Dannemann, Siemsen, Bigler & Ipanema Moreira in 1979, having become a partner in 1986. Practices in Rio de Janeiro, specially in trade mark law. Member of OAB (Brazilian Bar Association);ABPI (Brazilian Intellectual Property Association);ABAPI (Brazilian Industrial Property Agents Association);AIPPI;INTA; LES;ABDI;LIDC and ASIPI. Delivered lectures in Brazil and world-wide on intellectual property subjects, in particular trade mark law in seminars and congresses, including INTA, AIPPI, ABPI and ABDI. Took part at the meeting of non-governmental experts on legal protection of computer software convened by WIPO in Canberra in 1984. Chaired the working committee on Question 100, on unregistered but well-known marks, the conclusions of which were presented for discussion and approval during the Executive Committee of AIPPI in Barcelona in 1990. Took part at several meetings of non-governmental experts on arbitration convened by WIPO between 1991 and 1998.

Published several articles on intellectual property in papers and specialised journals , including an article on trade secret law published by the Yale Law Library in 1994 as addendum to the publication “World Trade Secrets Law"; an article in the LES NOUVELLES on legal protection of computer software; an article in the "Revista dos Tribunais" on the interpretation of article 6 bis of the Paris Convention; various articles on trade mark law published in the Revista da Propriedade Industrial, bimonthly Journal of the Brazilian Intellectual Property Association;participated as one of the co-authors of the publication on trade mark law entitled “Sinais Distintivos e Tutela Judicial e Administrativa” edited by Fundação Getúlio Vargas in 2007 .
