Object of the T&C’s
The International Ligue of Competition Law (LIDC) organises an annual international congress (Congress) each year under the responsibility of a National Chapter (Organiser).
The present terms and conditions apply to the registration and participation to that Congress.
Obligation of the registrants
By registering to the Congress, the registrants agree to be bound by the present terms and conditions, to comply with the specific rules and follow the specific instructions that will be put in place and communicated by the Organiser for each specific Congress.
Price and Payment
The price to be paid is indicated during the registration process and depends on the formula/package chosen by the registrant and on the date of the registration (early bird versus regular rate).
The price is indicated without VAT. If VAT is applicable, the amount will be indicated during the registration process and the final total price shown before payment.
The payment can be made by bank transfer or online.
Registration will only be deemed complete once the payment is received by the LIDC.
Cancellations are accepted at the following conditions:
- 90 days prior to the Congress, full refund ;
- up to 30 days prior to the Congress, 75% refund ;
- no refund if the cancellation occurs less than 30 days prior to the Congress.
If the Congress is cancelled by the Organiser, there will be a full refund to the registrant unless the Organiser offers an alternative solution such as a virtual Congress in which case the registration fee shall be partially refunded, at the discretion of the Organiser, taking into account the costs for providing an alternative solution.
The refund will only be credited to the person or entity which made the original payment.
During the registration process, the registrant will be asked to state his/her Last Name, First Name, Law Firm/Company/Organisation and Country. The registrant will be included on the participants list which may be distributed before, during and after the congress, as well as uploaded to the LIDC’s website in order for LIDC to administrate the congress. The legal basis for the processing is the purchase agreement for registration and participation to the congress. The participants list will be stored as long as necessary to administrate the Congress but no longer than 3 years.
Please note that photographs and video footage may be taken throughout the Congress. These may be used by the LIDC for marketing and publicity in our publications, on our website and in social media or in any third-party publication. Please contact us at email@example.com if you have any concerns or if you wish to be excluded from photos and video footage.
