The purpose of the Swiss Competition Law Association (ASAS) is to study issues and questions pertaining to competition (antitrust) law, market regulation, unfair competition and intellectual property. ASAS is the Swiss Group of the International League of Competition Law (LIDC). It adheres to the objectives of the LIDC and supports it financially by contributing a share of the fees paid by ASAS members. ASAS participates actively in the events organized by the LIDC. In particular, it submits every year two reports on questions related to competition (antitrust) law, intellectual property law or unfair competition which are discussed during the annual congress held by the LIDC. ASAS organizes conferences and seminars of its own and prepares position papers on draft legislation or regulation in Switzerland. The members of ASAS are lawyers, academics, companies and official authorities operating in the field of commercial law.
