The Association for the Study of Competition Law (AEDC) was founded in the early 1950s as the Belgian group of the International League of Competition Law (LIDC). The AEDC quickly became one of the main national groups and its representatives have already assumed the international presidency of the LIDC on five occasions. The AEDC initially focused on all matters concerning unfair competition and later, in line with the evolution of this branch of law, extended its activities to the whole of competition law.
