Work experience
Collette is the Director, European IP Policy & Advocacy, at Nokia. She has extensive experience of providing strategic advice on regulatory and policy matters regarding IP licensing in the technology and media sectors, including standard essential patents, FRAND disputes and patent pools. She has been involved in some of the leading cases concerning the intersection of IP and competition law. Prior to joining Nokia in 2021, Collette was the Head of EU Competition at Wiggin LLP, a law firm specialising in media, technology and intellectual property. Before this Collette was Counsel at Shearman & Sterling LLP and a Senior Associate at Howrey LLP in London and Brussels. Previously Collette was the Senior Référendaire at the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal and a lawyer in the UK Government Legal Department.


Studies
Collette is a Barrister, England & Wales (1998) and Ireland (2018) and an Avocat au Barreau de Bruxelles (2019). She has an MA in European Legal Studies, University of Leeds (2000) and an LLB (Hons) in English and European Law with French, University of Buckingham (1997). She also completed a Diploma on the Role of Economics in Competition Law and Practice Course, Jevons Institute of Competition Law and Economics, University College London (2008).
