Ad Hoc Resolution of the LIDC – decision of the ICN to suspend Russia’s federal anti-monopoly service from participating in all its upcoming events

For almost 90 years, the International League of Competition Law has been studying and promoting IP law and competition law.

The first area of law is a contribution to the progress of humanity while the second has been a pillar of the preservation of peace on the European continent through the development of the European Economic Commission to the European Union.

Over the years, the International League of Competition Law has been adopting resolutions on substantive IP and competition law topics and questions based on the contributions of different opinions from different countries always in respect of contradiction.

By its activities, its objectives, and the spirit of its members, the International League of Competition Law is definitely committed to promoting, supporting, and defending the Rule of Law.

Since 24 February, the invasion of Ukraine constitutes a massive violation of international law and a complete negation of the rule of law.

The International League of Competition Law Resolves to welcome, support and commends the decision of the International Competition Network #ICN to suspend Russia’s federal anti-monopoly service from participating in all its upcoming events, as requested by anti-trust authorities in Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and the Netherlands.

Furthermore, the International League of Competition Law Resolve to pursue its efforts to promote and protect the rule of law together with all its members and all the members of the IP and competition law communities that are committed to that goal, in all and any country.

The LIDC community stands in solidarity with our friends and colleagues in #Ukraine, a free, democratic, and peaceful Ukraine shall prevail.

The LIDC community does not forget our Russian colleagues who refuse to accept the current horrible situation in Ukraine.
